The price for all the softness and stability in the Horizon 2 is the weight. It’s the perfect choice for runners (especially injury-prone runners) who need and prefer protection but aren’t fazed by an extra half ounce.
Softer than the original Horizon, it features deeper grooves in the heel to help reduce impact shock and offers a very stable ride. The enhanced softness was noted in both our wear tests and lab results.
The wave plate has been extended to under the big toe to help improve the roll-through from heel to toe, while foam was added to the collar for extra comfort.
Our testers notes: This is a whole ‘lotta shoe, which was a real positive for those who love stability and cushioning, but it felt “like a tank” to runners who prefer a lighter, faster feel.
